I've been on Ios in the Greek islands, for about a week now. Ios. I first

came here in 1987 and have been back a number of times since to work and to play. But I haven't been back for seven years so it's nice to return to see old friends and make new ones.

This trip is very special as it's the first time i have come with my children. They are loving it.

It is also the first time with CBGs and i have already played a few times and everyone loves them. The word is out.

Two nights ago, I played a brilliant sunset gig with my old mate, 'the Minister' from Denmark, at a winery on the island of Sikinos. The cigar box guitar went down a

treat. I have also had a few gigs on Ios where people are blown away by this unique instrument. The Greeks, particularly, love the three string slide.

I am off for a jam with a bouzouki player tonight.

We are here for another few weeks before heading to Paris for some more fun.

I've started a Facebook page, McTrustry Cigar Box Guitars, if you are that way inclined – https://www.facebook.com/McTrustryCigarBoxGuitars

The Countdown

The countdown is on – only a few days to go before we head overseas for a couple of months. Ios, Greece is the first destination where we’ll catch up with old friends over a few weeks and enjoy the sun before heading to France and Denmark to play the blues at festivals and blues joints.

If you’re in the market for a cigar box guitar, please check out my products

page. I’ve also got new t-shirts for sale. Great design, black or white and all sizes.

Gympie Muster

I’m just back from the Gympie Muster where

the weather was amazing. No rain! No mud!

There’s always a special vibe at the Muster and there was some great jamming. Thanks to everyone who dropped by the stall.

I caught some great acts including Blue Shaddy, Bill Chambers, Colin Hay, 8 Ball Aitken, Graveyard Train, Dallas Frasca and The Pigs.

8 Ball Aitken dropped by and brought in his biscuit tin guitar. Here’s a clip of 8 Ball Aitken and I jammin’ on ‘Little Red Rooster’.

Splendour in Byron

Had a great time at Splendour – saw some good music (highlights were Jack White, The Dirty Three and the buy cheap viagra online next day delivery teepee area) and met some colourful characters – costumes were the order of the day.  Here's a couple of photos.

p>Went to Sydney on the weekend. I caught up with old  friends

and  explored the city again. It was planes, trains, ferries and automobiles (buses) and I couldn't help but see the sites (my favourite besides the buy cialis Opera House being The Oxford on Taylor Square in Kings Cross where the Radio Birdman legend was born!). I also visited a couple of awesome music shops, which are now stocking my CBGs. If you're in Sydney or nearby and

you want to try one of my guitars out, visit one of the following music shops:

Turramurra Music at Turramurra: http://www.turramusic.com.au/Pages/Home.aspx

Sunburst Music at Coogee: https://www.facebook.com/SUNBURSTMUSIC.CoogeeAustralia

Here are a few snaps from the weekend's trip, including the CBGs that are now in Sydney…
