p>Well, the Bluesfest went off. We were in a great position opposite the Apra stage and caught some great music. We also had a blast inside the stall with eager bluesmen and women keen to try out the cigar box guitars. Every player blew us away and our midnight jam sessions were a highlight. It's inspiring to see how much both beginners and experienced musicians take to the cigar box guitar. Seeing John Paul Jones in the flesh playing
lap mandolin and bass with Seasick Steve was a thrill. Caught a lot of other great music, including John Fogerty, Ray Beadle, the Pogues (Shane was in great voice), Ziggy Marley, Mojo Bluesmen, Trombone Shorty and the Melbourne Ska Orchestra – to name a few. Can't wait for next year. I will post videos of the some jams soon.
